Fine fonts proofreading and editing is a freelance business in Ipswich, Queensland, owned and operated by Robyn Semple. I am a member of the Queensland Society of Editors and have a Diploma of Publishing (Professional Book Editing, Proofreading and Publishing). I offer a prompt, careful and no-fuss approach to proofreading and editing of documents.

- Copyediting focuses primarily on the correction of grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors. It also includes checking of documents for completeness.

- Substantive editing includes suggesting changes to the structure, presentation and wording of a document to ensure consistency, accuracy and clarity.

Electronic documents are reviewed and marked-up using the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word.
Hard copies will be marked-up using standard proofreading marks.
I use Australian English unless otherwise specified, and my standard reference materials are the Macquarie Dictionary and Style manual for authors, editors and printers, Sixth edition.
Approximate work completion times for documents:
- Up to 5000 words—3 – 4 days
- Up to 15000 words—7 – 9 days
- Over 15000 words—14 days+
Rates: Prices will generally work out at AU$40 – $50 per hour depending upon the complexity of the document. This equates to about 1500 – 2000 words per hour.
